Solana core devs recommend Agave 4.0 for mainnet validators

Anza recommended that Solana mainnet validators upgrade to Agave 4.0 after tests showed Turbine retransmission latency fell from about 600 milliseconds to about 0.8 milliseconds. Anza said the upgrade gives Solana the performance headroom to scale to one billion Compute Units per block. Agave 4.0 also removes UDP-based transaction access and makes QUIC the sole method for transaction submission.
