Lately, I’ve been grinding testnet points a bit too obsessively. I originally thought I was just practicing, but the moment I saw the leaderboard and other people posting screenshots, my mindset immediately turned into, “Should I also go in and push for it”… To put it simply, once practice comes with expectations, you start to feel reluctant to stop.
My “stop-loss” rule I set for myself is a bit plain: I only give it a fixed half hour each day. If I go over, I close the page. And I also have to write a line saying, “Maybe I won’t get anything,” accepting the randomness on the spot. Especially those new L1/L2 projects that pull up TVL as soon as the incentives kick in—honestly, I understand why old users curse “pump-and-dump.” In the end, it’s very likely you just get carried away by your emotions.
Anyway, I’m done chasing explanations. If I don’t get points today, then I don’t. If I really get too caught up, I’ll follow the old rules and stop for a week. That’s it for now.
