Baidu's revenue continues to decline, with AI business accounting for over half of the income

[Caixin] Revenue related to AI has for the first time accounted for more than half of Baidu's income, but at the same time, Baidu's performance continues to decline. On May 18, Beijing time, Baidu (NASDAQ: BIDU / 09888.HK) announced its first quarter 2026 data, with total revenue reaching 32.1 billion RMB, a 2% decrease quarter-over-quarter, and approximately a 1.1% decrease year-over-year. This is the third consecutive quarter of year-over-year decline.

Baidu's net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company was 3.4 billion RMB, a sharp decrease of 55.3%, and the earnings per American Depositary Share (ADS) after dilution was 8.76 RMB, a significant reduction of 50.4%.
