The past couple of days I've seen a bunch of people talking about "data availability / ordering / finality," to be honest I was lazy at first, the more terms there are the more overwhelming… Later I set a main thread for myself: the operation you're doing on the chain, who goes first and who goes after, when is it truly "irreversible," and whether others might see you in advance or cut in line. Putting other tricks aside.

I'm always a bit slow to catch on to hot topics, like memes and celebrity shoutouts flooding the screens, I usually wait until the hype dies down before I check the chain, and by then it's often already the "last relay" taking over… veteran players advise newcomers not to rush, and I actually agree, especially in extreme market conditions, when the order gets messy and finality gets delayed, it's easy for the mindset to get overwhelmed.

Anyway, now I add one more line to my review chart: am I betting on the price, or am I betting on "it being confirmed in the order I want smoothly." Clarifying this at least prevents being scared off by the terminology.
