Hey, there's something I've been following and I think it's worth sharing. The biggest tech companies in Brazil are gaining more and more prominence, but the real game is still concentrated in the US, especially with the recent explosion of AI.
Microsoft, Apple, Amazon, Alphabet, and Tesla continue to dominate the global market value ranking. Microsoft is around 423 billion, Apple with 297 billion, Amazon with 264 billion. Impressive numbers, right? But what catches the most attention is how Nvidia came out of nowhere and surpassed Apple and Microsoft in market value in 2025. The company's stock appreciated 1,646% in five years — it's almost impossible to ignore when you see numbers like that.
Now, looking at Brazil, the situation is also heating up. The biggest tech companies in Brazil you should keep an eye on are Totvs, Locaweb, and Sinqia. Totvs, in particular, has made some interesting partnerships with generative AI platforms and is migrating services to the cloud. This shows that the sector is truly evolving.
There are also these multinationals operating strongly here: IBM Brazil, HP Enterprise, Oracle Brazil, along with the tech operations of Vivo, Claro, and Mercado Livre. Their presence significantly boosts the local ecosystem.
The truth is, investing in tech in 2026 remains one of the best bets. AI, automation, big data, blockchain, and cloud computing are no longer the future — they are the present. And the companies riding this wave are growing exponentially.
If you're thinking about putting money into tech stocks, international options like Apple, Microsoft, and Nvidia continue to be classics, while here in Brazil you have Totvs, Locaweb, and Sinqia as solid alternatives. But as I always say, study well before investing. Variable income is a good deal, but it’s not a lottery.
