Iran threatens to cut undersea internet cables if they are not paid for.


In Tehran, it was announced that Google, Microsoft, Meta, and Amazon should pay for the use of communication cables passing through the strait. Iranian media also hinted at possible disruptions to the global internet and financial networks.
According to the channel, the most important communication lines between Europe, Asia, and the Persian Gulf pass through the Strait of Hormuz.
