Politics should be about serving the people, not serving personal interests.

If you lack compassion, empathy, and a genuine desire to improve the lives of others, then politics is not for you.
True leadership is measured by the lives improved, not by the wealth acquired in office.
Someone currently contesting for the House of Representatives approached me to help with grassroots and online campaigns. His promise was simple: “Once I get into office, you are made for life.”
But that is exactly the problem with our politics today.
The reason people should support a leader is because of their vision, competence, and willingness to serve the masses not because of what individuals will personally gain after elections.
For too long, politics in Nigeria has been driven by personal interests, selfish deals, and political compensation instead of national development.
This mentality must stop.
When I speak about Peter Obi, I know why. He represents the kind of politics that can make public office less attractive to selfish politicians and more focused on service, accountability, and the people.
Shalom 🙏
