Recently, hardware wallets have been out of stock again, and I just realized I was a bit overconfident before... A mnemonic phrase is basically a "lifetime password." Now I’m copying two offline copies and storing them in different places—no way I trust phone albums or cloud storage, I really don’t want to gamble. Signing authorizations are also becoming more like landmines; clicking "Confirm" is essentially handing over permissions, especially those with unlimited limits. It seems convenient at the moment, but looking back, it’s pretty scary.

Phishing links have been on the rise lately. I’ve come up with a simple trick for myself: a whitelist of frequently used addresses + transfer limit + authorization limit alerts. I’d rather do it more times than go all-in at once. The feeling after setting it up is quite subtle—used to be nervous every time I operated, now it’s “troublesome but reassuring,” at least I won’t slip up and then be unable to sleep. Anyway, no matter how fancy the strategy, if the wallet gets emptied, it’s all pointless… so I’ll stick with this for now.
