Lately, there's been a bit of information overload, scrolling through dozens of messages in the group, and KOLs are constantly live-streaming reviews, so my emotions get the better of me and I get itchy to act. Honestly, when it comes to impulsively making purchases, in the end, it's still myself who confirms, blaming the group or the people is pretty pointless... What I'm more worried about now is the kind of FOMO that looks like it has solid data backing.
Especially recently, on-chain data tools and tagging systems have been criticized for being laggy or even misleading. Sometimes you think you know what whales are doing, but actually it's just mislabeling or delays, and you end up imagining a whole storyline. Anyway, my current approach is pretty simple: first, I close a few noisy groups, then slowly compare the core metrics of two or three protocols in a spreadsheet. If I can see clearly, I look; if not, I forget about it. Trading less actually helps me sleep better.
