Golden Finance reports that on May 18, Reuters reported sources as saying that the U.S. Treasury Department will extend the exemption on sanctions for expired Russian maritime oil by another 30 days. The decision was made after multiple impoverished and vulnerable countries requested more time to purchase Russian oil.
