Today I realized during my review that I was tracking the "On-chain whale transfers" actually almost half a minute late… It’s not that I’m blind, but the nodes/RPC/indexing system inherently has delays, and sometimes even misses small details. You think you’re watching real-time heartbeat, but honestly, it’s more like watching a replay, no wonder I always place orders in the last second.
So what should I do? Just switch to a more expensive RPC?
Not entirely, if the indexer updates slowly, you’ll still be late.
Recently, the staking unlocks and token unlock calendar have been brought up every day, everyone is anxious that “selling pressure is coming,” and I also get nervous and check on-chain movements… But now I prefer to cross-reference multiple sources instead of relying on a single “late data” that might lead my emotions astray. Anyway, impulsiveness is fine, but don’t chase illusions.
