Someone asked me what the relationship is between oracle feed delay and my perpetual contracts… Basically, you think "I haven't hit my liquidation price yet," but the liquidation side might be looking at a different, slower-updating or lagging quote, or a sudden rebalancing, which can directly push you out of the position. The most frustrating part is during high volatility, you watch the market and think you can hold for a couple more seconds, but when the feed updates, the liquidation line instantly crosses, and you don't even have time to set a stop-loss.
So now I prefer to keep my position smaller and set my stop-loss a bit earlier, rather than hoping to "escape at the last moment." Also, recently, stacking yield through staking and shared security has been criticized as a copycat scheme, which isn't without reason. The more on-chain steps involved, the less likely it is that you're wrong about the direction, but a lagging or delayed feed can just keep you grounded and grinding… Anyway, during night shifts, I also keep an eye on fee rates and the frequency of oracle updates—avoiding one pitfall is always better.
