I just reviewed several trading apps and honestly, if you have little money to start with, the options nowadays are much better than a few years ago. What used to seem impossible is now quite accessible.

Mitrade surprised me with how simple it is. You can open an account with just $20 USD, and the interface doesn’t overwhelm you with unnecessary buttons. They have integrated TradingView charts, low spreads, and no execution fees. For beginners, it’s practically what you’re looking for: stocks, forex, cryptocurrencies—all from a single app.

If you already have experience and want more leverage, AvaTrade offers professional accounts with more aggressive conditions. They support MetaTrader 4 and 5, so if you use those platforms, it’s quite comprehensive. XM is also in that space, but with even more extreme leverage (up to 1000x, but watch out for the risk). Plus500 has a huge variety of assets, over 2800 CFDs, and they’ve just entered futures and prediction markets.

Then there’s eToro, which is different. Its thing is copy trading: you see what successful traders do and automatically replicate their moves. For beginners who want to learn without breaking their head, it works well.

The interesting part is that all these apps for free trading with no commissions use spreads instead of charging per trade. The minimum deposit varies: Mitrade from $20 USD, XM from $5 USD, eToro from $50 USD. All are regulated by official agencies, so at least you know it’s not a makeshift casino.

Before putting in money, though: all of them offer demo accounts to practice risk-free. I’d suggest starting there, see which one feels more comfortable, and only then deposit. Trading involves risks, so don’t rush into it.
