My current conclusion is pretty soft: when hot topics rotate, don’t rush to “follow every wave”—better to miss out than to keep paying tuition over and over. To put it plainly, attention is the chips; once you get excited, you hand your chips over.

Lately, new L1/L2s have started rolling out incentives to pull up TVL again, and I can totally understand why old users complain about “mining, selling, and dumping”... It’s not that every project is bad, it’s that the timing and rhythm can so easily turn people into tools: you chase the hype → charge in → then discover the rules/unlock conditions change → and your mindset starts to fall apart. Anyway, what I do now is ask myself first: am I here to play/use, or am I just trying to take a gamble? If it’s purely gambling, keep a small position and “send it” like a meme—don’t add size because of emotion. If you really want to participate, set a point where you’ll exit, and don’t get led astray by the community’s combat power. For now, keeping yourself safe matters more than chasing higher scores.
