Techub News reports that, according to CoinPost, the U.S. Department of Justice announced that Forsage co-founder Olena Oblamska has been extradited from Thailand to the United States. The defendant is charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud and is accused of defrauding approximately $340 million through a Ponzi scheme.
The day after the extradition, the defendant appeared in court to plead not guilty, and the court has detained the defendant with a trial scheduled for July 2026. If convicted, the defendant faces a maximum of 20 years in prison.
The case is under investigation by the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security, with extradition completed with assistance from Thailand.
