Just realized that many people are still wondering what trading is and whether it really makes a profit, so I want to share my understanding based on years of trading experience.

Initially, what is trading? It is buying and selling various assets to profit from price differences, whether it's stocks, cryptocurrencies, currencies, or gold. These assets have prices that fluctuate all the time based on supply and demand. Once we understand what influences prices, we can predict the direction and make profits.

But in reality, no strategy guarantees 100% profit; it requires good analysis, studying economic factors, industry conditions, and company status. When you analyze thoroughly, the chances of profit are higher than the chances of loss.

What is the basic principle of trading? It is short-term buying and selling to profit from price changes. Some people choose to trade stocks, some cryptocurrencies, some Forex, or gold, depending on their preferences and risk tolerance.

Before starting to trade, there are five things to know. First, self-assessment: why do you want to trade? To generate extra income, save money, or earn dividends? Once you know your goal, find the suitable trading style. Second, study a lot because trading requires capital and knowledge. Third, trading terminology is very important; there are many specific terms to understand. Fourth, risk management is unavoidable; you must decide how much loss you can tolerate. Fifth, choose a trustworthy broker with reasonable fees and good after-sales service.

Regarding types of trading, there are many options. For example, Day Trading, which involves buying and selling within the same day for quick profits but requires constant market monitoring; if not careful, losses can happen quickly. Long-Term Trading involves holding assets for weeks or months, offering good returns and less stress, but requires patience. Swing Trading is a middle ground, holding assets for a few days, suitable for people with full-time jobs and limited free time.

When talking about what trading is in terms of assets, there are many types. Stock trading involves buying and selling listed company shares, requiring an account with a broker. Cryptocurrency trading involves trading encrypted money, often using scalping strategies to catch small price movements. Forex trading is currency exchange, the largest market in the world, open 24 hours. Gold trading uses CFDs so you don't have to hold physical gold but can profit as if you own it.

For those who want to succeed in trading, continuous learning is essential—reading articles, books, or listening to experienced traders. Practice regularly; many platforms offer demo accounts with no real money needed. Most importantly, keep emotions in check because greed and fear are enemies of traders. Use reason and follow your plan. Consistency is key; no one wins every time, but with continuous trading and discipline, your chances of accumulating profits increase.

In summary, what is trading? It is an art and science of buying and selling, requiring knowledge, experience, and strong mental discipline. There is no single correct method; you need to find what suits you, accept risks, and learn from mistakes. Does it really make a profit? Yes, definitely, but it requires study, practice, and patience.
