Man, I see more and more people entering the stock market here. According to the data I saw, over 5 million new investors entered in 2025, and the younger crowd is really looking for a stock trading app that's easy to use and doesn't charge crazy fees.
I did a survey of the main platforms being used in Brazil right now. Mitrade is still somewhat unknown, but it has international security and offers everything from stocks to crypto, with real-time charts. Rico is younger, part of the XP group, and is focusing on beginners with cool educational content. Toro is also interesting — it was bought by Santander and has a lot of integrated financial education.
Then there's XP Investimentos, which grew a lot and now serves everything from small investors to wealthier clients. Nu Invest (from Nubank) is chill for those just starting out, and Banco Inter is also on this wave with competitive fees. And for those wanting to go abroad, Avenue offers a dollar account, which is great for diversification.
The point is: choosing a good stock trading app really makes a difference. It’s not just about zero fees, but also about security, educational material, and whether the platform actually works when you need it. There’s a lot of healthy competition among brokerages, so each one is stepping up its game.
I find it interesting that now even international platforms are entering Brazil strongly with support in Portuguese. If you're starting out, it’s worth testing the demo account before putting real money in. And if you already invest, maybe it’s time to review which stock trading app you’re using to see if you’re missing out on opportunities. Have you tried any of these?
