Former Mexican senator: Some politicians are secretly attempting to use Bitcoin to circumvent campaign finance scrutiny
Golden Finance reports that on May 18th, according to CriptoNoticias, former Mexican senator Indira Kempis stated that politicians are well aware of Bitcoin’s threat to their power, and institutional resistance is due to fear that the code will replace government intermediaries, thereby breaking the current financial opacity. She revealed that many colleagues have privately asked how to use Bitcoin’s features to evade campaign finance scrutiny.
Kempis said that despite institutional resistance, the true adoption of Bitcoin is happening from the bottom up.
