Oh, I just found out that the Thai stock market has this kind of opening and closing schedule 😅 It's not just opening at 10:00 and closing at 16:30; it's more complicated than I thought.
In the morning, it starts around 9:30 before the actual opening, and between 9:55-10:00, there is a random opening time. So each day, the opening time is different. Then trading proceeds normally until 12:30, when the market takes a break. In the afternoon, it resumes at 14:00, with another pre-open period from 14:25-14:30 before actual trading from 14:30-16:30.
The key parts are during the opening and closing times, with pre-open/pre-close periods where the price is processed, and the random timing to prevent price manipulation. This means that even if the stock closes today, you can't be sure whether it closed exactly on time or a bit late 😂. This is crucial—if you're a trader or speculator, you need to know the timing precisely.
