I just realized that many people still don't know what time the Thai stock market actually opens. Before trading, you need to be clear about this because during the opening period, prices are the most volatile. There are pending orders from the previous day, combined with morning news that affects the fundamental factors of each stock, making it a good time for speculation.

The Thai stock market is divided into two sessions: morning and afternoon, with quite a few time segments. From 9:30 AM is the pre-open period, during which the system gathers buy and sell orders. Then, from 9:55 to 10:00 AM is the random opening time period. This is why the actual opening time each day is not the same. The earliest is 9:55 AM, and the latest is 10:00 AM.

After that, the actual trading session runs from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM. The market closes at 12:30 PM today to allow everyone to have lunch, then reopens at 2:00 PM. The afternoon session is similar, with a pre-open period from 2:00 PM to 2:25 PM and a random opening time from 2:25 PM to 2:30 PM. Actual trading occurs from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM before the market closes.

The most important thing is to know these times clearly because, unlike trading money, which can be done at any time, stocks can only be traded during trading hours. This information will help you not to miss the key trading periods each day.
