Have you ever stopped to think about how many women actually manage to build a fortune of nearly US$1 billion in the Brazilian financial market? Carol Paiffer is one of those cases that deserves attention.

Born in Porto Feliz, SP, in 1987, Carol started taking an interest in the financial market while still in college. While many people were focused on other areas, she and her brother Joaquim were already making their first stock investments. That was back in 2006, when they created Paiffer Investimentos while still studying Business Administration.

But the real turning point came with Atom. In 2013, Carol became CEO of the company, which turned into the first publicly traded trading brokerage in Latin America. The idea was very different from what existed here: allocating the firm’s own capital for traders to operate, with profits shared. At first, she faced resistance, because many traders lacked discipline and risk control. Carol realized this quickly and created the Atom University to train real professionals.

The model worked. Today, Atom traders keep up to 80% of the profits, which is practically unprecedented in Brazil. This has solidified Carol as a benchmark in day trading and financial education.

Her visibility took off when she joined Shark Tank Brasil in its fifth season. There, she invests by analyzing execution, scale, and the entrepreneurs’ profiles—not just the product. She has made some interesting investments: Hand Dry, Total Beach Tennis, Ride2Play!, and Casa das Latas. She has also put money into Vasco da Gama, focusing on women’s soccer.

What stands out is that Carol Paiffer is single and keeps her full focus on her career. Meanwhile, she built Dinastia Hub, a platform that accelerates startups by connecting entrepreneurs with mentors and investors. She doesn’t just put in money—she closely follows the development of the businesses.

Her net worth today is estimated at around US$900 million. It comes from trading, financial education, strategic investments, and her stake in Atom. It’s an interesting case showing how discipline, technical knowledge, and a long-term vision can make a difference in the market.

What impresses most about Carol Paiffer is that she doesn’t sell the promise of getting rich quickly. On the contrary, she consistently highlights the risks of day trading and the importance of technical preparation. That’s rare to see—especially from someone who has built so much in the financial market.
