I just spent hours researching which regulated brokers in Mexico are truly worth it because honestly I was tired of so much conflicting information online. It turns out there are more legitimate options than I thought.
Mitrade surprised me because it’s international but works well here. Regulated by ASIC, low spreads, and a minimum deposit of $20 USD is accessible if you’re just starting out. What caught my attention is that you can trade CFDs of stocks, currencies, indices, and crypto all in one account. Of course, CFDs carry their risks.
For those who prefer to stay local, Actinver and GBM are the names you hear most. Actinver is more formal, with variable commissions based on volume, a minimum deposit of 10,000 MXN. GBM is more accessible with a minimum of 1,000 MXN and has that robo-advisor that apparently manages investments automatically. Both are supervised by the CNBV, so there’s real regulation.
Kuspit is more focused on education, with low commissions and a very low deposit (100 MXN). If you’re a beginner and want to learn while investing, it could be your entry point. Bursanet is part of the same group as Actinver but with a more user-friendly platform, and they have a 30-day promotion with no commissions if you deposit 10,000 MXN.
What I’ve realized is that all these regulated brokers in Mexico are under CNBV or ASIC, so there’s segregated fund protection and real regulation. It’s not the same as any random platform. The difference lies in commissions, minimum deposit, and whether you need advanced tools or something simpler.
Before investing money, the obvious thing is to compare commissions and see which one fits your investment style. Some are for large volumes, others for beginners. But at least with regulated brokers in Mexico, you have somewhere to complain if something goes wrong.
Has anyone else tried any of these? What was your experience?
