I've been trying out different trading apps for a while, and honestly, there's a big difference between them. What surprised me is that the best trading apps aren't always the most complicated, but the ones that understand what each type of trader really needs.
I started with MiTrade because I heard it was ideal for beginners. Honestly, the interface is so clean that I opened my first trade in seconds. You can start with just $20 USD, which is quite accessible. What I liked was that they integrate TradingView charts directly into the app, so you get professional analysis without hassle. The demo account comes with $50,000 virtual dollars for 90 days, perfect for practicing without fear.
Then I tried AvaTrade because I wanted something with more options. This platform has a clear difference: if you already have experience, you can access professional accounts with higher leverage. It was founded in 2006, and you can really tell their experience. It supports MetaTrader 4 and 5, so if you're a fan of those platforms, here they are. The minimum deposit is $100 USD.
Plus500 seemed interesting to me because it is listed on the London Stock Exchange and has an enormous variety of assets, over 2,800 CFDs. They recently opened access to futures in the U.S. market, which is new. But to be honest: this isn’t for beginners. You need prior experience.
XM is for those who already know what they’re doing and want serious leverage. Up to 1,000x, which is extreme but available if you need it. It has more than 1,400 instruments, and you can start with just $5 USD. The variety of account types is good: micro, standard, ultra-low. But it requires you to master risk management.
And then there’s eToro, which is completely different. Copy trading is its strong point. Basically, you automatically copy what experienced traders do. It’s ideal if you’re a beginner and want to learn by watching others. Over 3,000 assets, minimum deposit of $50 USD.
The truth is, choosing among the best trading apps depends a lot on who you are as a trader. If you’re just starting and want something simple, MiTrade wins. If you already have experience and want MetaTrader, AvaTrade or XM. If you’re looking for variety and futures, Plus500. If you prefer learning by copying others, eToro.
All are regulated by official agencies, so security isn’t an issue. The important thing is to practice first with demo accounts before putting in real money. Each has its strengths, and the best app for you depends on your style and experience.
