Lately, I've been noticing that on-chain data keeps "lagging," and at first I thought my internet was bad... It wasn't until later that I realized it's not the chain itself being slow, but the data layer struggling: the balances/rankings/interaction records you see are often first scanned by indexers or subgraphs, then organized, and when synchronization falls behind, there's a delay; plus, RPC rate limiting, especially on testnets where many people are rushing for incentives and points, makes nodes get overwhelmed, and the more speculation there is about whether the mainnet will issue tokens, the more likely the data is to shake. Anyway, my current calmer habit is: verify the same thing with at least two methods (official explorer + another RPC or a different frontend), to confirm whether it's "data not keeping up" or "the chain really has issues," otherwise emotions follow the refresh button, which is too exhausting.
