Techub News reports that, according to U.Today, Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson stated that Zcash is ideologically superior to Bitcoin because it preserves the anonymity of the original cypherpunks through zk-SNARKs, whereas Bitcoin has become too transparent and institutionalized. His view references Hal Finney's 1993 discussion on electronic cash allowing individuals to control their information. However, Bitcoin supporters counter that Zcash has a "hidden pre-mine" issue, with 25% of block rewards automatically flowing to the developers' wallet, and that Finney did not support Zcash during his lifetime.
