Starbase collaborates with Fudan University School of Law to build an integrated system for asset digitization, industry-academia-research collaboration
1. Course Positioning: Building a Closed-Loop Study System for Asset Digitization
Against the backdrop of the digital economy accelerating to become a national strategy, RWA (Real World Assets) as an important bridge connecting tangible assets with the digital ecosystem is emerging as a new direction for financial innovation and industrial digitization. In response to the industry’s urgent need for systematic knowledge and compound, cross-disciplinary talent, the RWA accelerator Starbase will serve as the course supporting unit and participate in Fudan University Law School’s “Global Advanced Training Program in Digital Asset Practice,” to be launched in late June.
Anchored by the core theme “From Stablecoins and RWA: Exploring the International Frontier of Asset Digitization,” the course is aimed at financial institutions, physical enterprises, technology companies, and policy researchers. Drawing on faculty resources from Fudan University’s top law programs, the School of International Finance, and the School of Computing and Intelligent Innovation, and jointly collaborating with frontline experts in regulation, judicial practice, public chains, and exchanges, the course builds a closed-loop training system featuring a systematic theoretical framework, practical case-by-case breakdowns, and full lifecycle risk identification and protection.
2. RWA Takes the Center Stage of the Digital Economy; the Industry’s Maturity Urgently Needs Educational Foundations
With blockchain continuing to penetrate scenarios such as asset confirmation, information disclosure, and liquidity optimization, RWA has gradually become a key channel connecting the digital economy with the real economy. However, behind the industry’s rapid expansion, the tension between “innovation” and “compliance” is becoming increasingly prominent, and many teams migrating from Web2 lack experience in areas such as tokenized issuance, cross-border compliance, and on-chain operations. Building a systematic, verifiable RWA educational foundation infrastructure is not only a necessary prerequisite for the industry’s maturation, but also an important entry point for universities to engage in the development of the digital economy.
3. Combining Third-Party Strengths: Bridging the Gap Between RWA Cognition and Implementation
The complexity of the RWA market lies in the way disciplines intersect and interweave. As the organizer, Fudan University Law School, supported by Starbase and institutions such as Zhiheng Law Firm with extensive Web3 practical experience, jointly builds a complete teaching system across three dimensions: theoretical depth, compliance logic, and industry practice.
Driven by real-world case studies, the course covers the entire process from policy interpretation to compliance risk control, from bringing assets on-chain to cross-border financing. Through in-depth analysis of regulatory systems in different countries and stablecoin regulations, participants will systematically master compliance pathways under different legal jurisdictions. By combining practical experience from legal institutions in judicial case reviews and criminal risk control, participants will understand the risk boundaries under regulatory frameworks. At the same time, Web3 enterprise mentors will teach the full tokenization path—from selecting assets and designing compliance to cross-border financing—together with international RWA market analysis and asset allocation strategies, forming a systematic capability framework that integrates “academia—practice—regulation.”
The course faculty draws together strength from multiple schools and departments, including Fudan University Law School, the School of International Finance, and the School of Computing and Intelligent Innovation. It also integrates Starbase’s industry operation and execution capabilities, Zhiheng Law Firm’s legal practice experience, and practical expert resources from institutions and industry partners such as The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong VDX, and the Avalanche public chain, forming a three-in-one configuration of “academia + law + industry.” After completing all courses and passing the assessments, participants will receive a project completion certificate issued by Fudan University, providing authoritative endorsement for their compliant practice and career development in the RWA field.
4. Delivering Specialized Driving Force to the Digital Economy
Building an RWA education system is not only a course innovation, but also an exploration in which universities and industry jointly promote the high-quality development of the digital economy in practice. Starbase states that in the future it will carry out in-depth cooperation with more top global universities and professional law firms, jointly promoting the development of an integrated educational ecosystem of “industry—academia—practice,” and cultivating core RWA talents who have an international perspective and strong implementation capabilities.
