At first, I thought the stock market only opened for one period, but it turns out there are multiple open times. The Thai stock market actually divides trading sessions into a morning and afternoon session. Before the market opens, there is a pre-open period of about 25 minutes where we can see rough prices, then it moves into a random 5-minute phase.

The morning session opens around 9:55 to 10:00 a.m. (not exact because of the random timing) and trades continue until 12:30 p.m. After that, there is a 1.5-hour market break. The afternoon session opens from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., which is the daily market closing period.

If you want to trade stocks via streaming live data or track prices in real-time, you need to know the exact market open times so you don't miss key moments. Stock prices tend to be most volatile at market open when there are pending orders from the closing period. Therefore, knowing the precise opening times helps ensure you don't miss profit opportunities.
