Recently, I’ve been looking at projects on RWA (Real World Asset) on the blockchain, and the word “liquidity” is the easiest to distract me: there are shares on the chain, pools, and transactions, but when it comes to redemption, that clause “window period/queue/pausable” is the real boss. Honestly, many times what you buy is the feeling that you can “walk away at any time,” not the right to walk away at any time.
I set a rule for myself: whenever it’s RWA, I first assume it cannot be redeemed instantly, calculating the time and cost based on the worst-case redemption path, and only proceed if I can accept that mentally; otherwise, I’d rather treat it as a fixed-term deposit and not gamble with liquid funds. Recently, AI agent automated trading is also quite popular, with narratives flying high, but as on-chain interactions increase, security details like permissions, signatures, and contract upgrades that aren’t carefully checked are very scary… Anyway, I’d rather be a bit slower than risk a crash in “pause on redemption” + “bot signing randomly.”
