I've been seeing some people wanting to get into trading but say they don't have capital. The reality is that’s no longer an excuse; there are plenty of apps to invest money that let you start with very little.
I started researching and found that the best options depend on what type of trader you are. If you're a beginner, MiTrade is quite accessible: you can open an account with just $20, the interface is clean, and it doesn't overwhelm you with buttons. It has integrated TradingView charts and a demo account with 50k virtual funds to practice risk-free.
For those with experience and looking for more leverage, AvaTrade offers professional accounts with MT4 and MT5, although the minimum deposit increases to $100. Plus500 is also good if you want variety: it has over 2,800 assets and just opened futures markets. XM is interesting because it allows very high leverage (up to 1000x) and you can start with just $5, but obviously that carries more risk.
Then there's eToro, which has its own thing: copy trading. Basically, you automatically copy the trades of experienced traders. It’s designed for beginners who want to learn by watching others. Minimum deposit of $50.
What surprised me is that all these apps for investing money have zero commissions on trades; they only charge the spread. Regulations are also in order (ASIC, CySEC, etc.), so at least it’s not the mafia.
Of course, each one has its focus. Mitrade is for those looking for something simple. AvaTrade and XM if you master MetaTrader. Plus500 if you want futures. eToro if you prefer copying strategies. But all of them allow starting with little capital—that was the point.
I'm curious, has anyone here already used any of these? What was your experience?
