Odaily Planet Daily News reports that today (May 17), Iran’s Fars News Agency, citing sources, stated that the U.S. outlined five key conditions in response to Iran’s proposal: the United States will not pay any compensation or war damages; Iran will export 400 kilograms of enriched uranium and hand it over to the U.S.; Iran is only allowed to keep one nuclear facility operational; the U.S. refuses to unfreeze Iran’s frozen assets; and a ceasefire on all fronts must be preceded by negotiations. The report emphasizes that even if Iran meets these conditions, threats from the U.S. and Israel to attack Iran will still persist. The report quotes analysts as saying that the plan proposed by the U.S. is not aimed at solving the problem but at trying to achieve its political and military goals during the war through negotiations.
