This year, the stock market is full of opportunities, but it is also full of challenges. I’ve noticed that many investors are trying to find good short-term stocks to generate quick profits, but they forget that choosing the right stocks requires study and a deep understanding.
I’d like to share my experience with the stocks I follow, divided into three groups: Thai stocks suitable for long-term investment, foreign stocks with strong growth potential, and short-term investment stocks that look promising right now.
Let’s start with the Thai market. I’ve noticed that SPRC, a leading oil refining company, is rebounding from last year. The stock price is 5.10 baht, but analysts expect it could rise to 7.97 baht, thanks to improved BTG refining margins. On the other hand, I see that the agriculture and food business is growing. The company plans to expand into export markets. At 17.20 baht, the stock could jump to 24 baht in line with revenue growth.
For IVL, a global PET manufacturer, I think this is an interesting short-term investment stock because it is expanding its plastic recycling business, which is an important global trend. The current price is 23 baht, with a target of 27.50 baht. As for CPF, it is a leader in end-to-end food business and benefits from higher livestock product prices. The price is 20.9 baht, which could reach 30 baht.
When it comes to the global market, I see Microsoft as an undisputed leader, with growth driven by Azure and the AI business. The price is $408, with a target of $542. This is a stock that is truly suitable for long-term investment. Chevron, on the other hand, is a good option for those seeking dividend income, with a dividend yield as high as 4.46%, and the stock price is $155.
For investors looking for short-term investment stocks today, I’d like to recommend Qualcomm, which is benefiting from the growth of IoT and automotive. The Automotive business grew 61% in the past year. The price is $172, and it may reach $186. Fortinet is also interesting, with rising demand for cybersecurity solutions. The price is $111, with a target of $119.
Applied Materials is another option I’m closely watching. It manufactures semiconductor equipment and benefits from the demand for AI chips. The price is $169, and it is expected to reach $200 in the short term. As for Tesla, I believe it still has growth potential, with increasing electric vehicle sales. The price is $355, and it could reach $500.
The most important thing I want to emphasize is that before investing in short-term or long-term stocks, you need a clear investment plan—set your financial goals, and understand how much risk you can tolerate. I recommend starting with a demo account to test your strategy before using real money.
Diversification is important. Don’t invest in just one stock. Study different stocks and choose the ones that fit your investment style. Some people prefer long-term investment for steady growth, while others prefer short-term investment to generate quick profits. Both approaches can lead to success if you know what you’re doing.
I also want to remind you that investing involves risk. Don’t invest more than you can afford to lose, and don’t let emotions control your decisions. Keep up with the news regularly, adjust your plan according to market conditions, and remember that successful investing requires both knowledge and discipline.
