Elon Musk responds to slow Grok model updates: V9 will be released in 3 to 4 weeks
Golden Finance reports that on May 17th, Elon Musk responded to the community’s concerns about the slow progress of the Grok model by stating that GrokV8 (with 0.5 trillion parameters, public version 4.3) is continuously being optimized every few days, while V9 (with 1.5 trillion parameters) has completed training and achieved significant upgrades. The next step for V9 will be to incorporate Cursor data for supplementary training, followed by supervised fine-tuning (SFT) and reinforcement learning (RL). The entire process is expected to be released in 3 to 4 weeks.
