Elon Musk responds to slow Grok model updates: V9 will be released in 3 to 4 weeks
Mars Finance News: On May 17, Elon Musk responded to the community’s concerns about the slow progress of the Grok model, saying that Grok V8 (0.5T parameters, public version 4.3) continues to be optimized every few days, while V9 (1.5T parameters) has completed training and delivered a major upgrade. The next step for V9 is to add Cursor data for additional training, followed by supervised fine-tuning (SFT) and reinforcement learning (RL). The entire process is expected to be released in about 3 to 4 weeks.
