CryptoWorld News reports that on May 17 local time, Moscow Oblast in Russia was targeted by a large-scale Ukrainian drone attack, resulting in 3 deaths and at least 17 injuries. Moscow Mayor Sobyanin reported that 12 people were injured near the Moscow refinery, but the refinery's operations were unaffected. A Ukrainian drone hit a residential building in the Khimki district, killing one woman and trapping another under the rubble. Ukrainian drones also struck a multi-story residential building in the Istra district, causing 4 injuries. It is reported that approximately 130 Ukrainian drones were shot down while approaching Moscow in the past 24 hours. This is the largest drone attack on the region this year. Ukraine has not responded to the incident.
