The Gates Foundation Liquidates Microsoft Holdings
On May 17, according to documents filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the Gates Foundation sold its remaining nearly 7.7 million shares of Microsoft stock in the first quarter of this year, valued at $3.2 billion at current stock prices. As of the end of the first quarter, the charity no longer held any Microsoft shares.
