Guys, I was researching the best brokerages for day trading here in Brazil and noticed that people still get very confused when choosing. I'll share what I found most relevant.
Basically, when you're looking for the best brokerages, what really matters is: how much it costs to trade, if the platform is fast, which markets you can access, and if leverage is available. Milliseconds make a difference in day trading, so poor execution can quickly turn into a loss.
There’s been a lot of people migrating to CFDs lately. It makes sense: you can trade both up and down, access international markets without bureaucracy, and many platforms let you start with little money. Mitrade, for example, doesn’t charge commissions and allows leverage of up to 200x, which attracts many beginner traders. They also offer a free demo account, which is essential for testing without risking real money.
Now, if you prefer to trade directly on B3, the best brokerages like XP and Clear offer more direct access. XP is more robust but costs can be higher, while Clear stands out for zero commissions on stocks.
Interactive Brokers is another that comes up a lot when talking about global markets — it’s complex, but has everything. AvaTrade also combines a good variety of assets with well-known platforms like MetaTrader. And there’s eToro with that thing of copying other traders’ strategies, which attracts beginners.
But honestly, the choice of the best brokerages for you depends on your style. If you’re starting out, want something simple and low-cost? Mitrade or Rico work well. Want to trade only Brazilian stocks at lower costs? Clear Brokerage. Looking for something more professional and international? Interactive Brokers.
The thing is, CFD trading grew a lot because it offers flexibility, but be careful: leverage amplifies both gains AND losses. Without risk management, you can burn out quickly. A demo account is your friend here.
My advice? Choose one of the best brokerages that matches your profile, start with simulation, and only then trade with real money. Consistency at the beginning is more important than quick gains. Which ones do you use?
