Lately, I've been thinking that with about 1,000 won, you can do stocks or funds.
In the past, I thought you needed at least a few hundred thousand won, but I realize there are so many options for small-scale investments.
First, looking at stocks, these days securities firms allow buying and selling in units of 0.001 shares.
That means even if a stock costs ten million won per share, you can buy a fraction with just 1,000 won.
Real-time trading has some restrictions and slightly higher fees, which are downsides, but it seems good for gradually collecting and studying stocks you're interested in.
ETFs are also interesting because they bundle multiple stocks together, making them less volatile than individual stocks.
There are small-investment types like index-tracking ETFs, sector ETFs, and dividend-focused ETFs, and you can get by with a few tens of thousands of won per share regardless of which you choose.
Recently, real estate investment is also hot, and small investments are possible through a product called REITs.
It's similar to investing directly in buildings or apartments, but requires much less capital.
Plus, the steady dividend payments are attractive.
Since real estate tends to be less volatile than stocks, I see it as a long-term investment option.
CFD is a bit different; it doesn't involve actually buying stocks but trading only the price differences.
You can adjust leverage ratios to make large trades with small amounts, but you must remember that the risk of loss is also high.
It's attractive for aggressive investors, but caution is necessary.
Ultimately, looking at small-scale investment options, there's something suitable for both beginners and experienced investors.
Starting with 1,000 won and gradually growing it isn't a bad idea.
