I just tried playing with several different stock trading demo platforms, and I want to share a few things with everyone. If you're just starting out and afraid of losing money, then stock trading demos are a good way to practice without any worries.

There are a few platforms I find quite reliable. One is Mitrade, which allows you to trade not only stocks but also cryptocurrencies, forex, gold, oil... with a virtual capital of up to $50,000 for free. The interface is quite clean, the analysis tools are comprehensive, and it is supervised by reputable organizations. The downside is that it does not support Vietnamese stocks.

If you only want to trade Vietnamese stocks, Vietstock or VNstockgame are also good options. Vietstock regularly organizes tournaments, which is quite fun because it encourages more practice. VNstockgame has been around longer, launched in 2009, with over 243,000 members, and you can win real money through competitions. However, its interface is a bit outdated, and it doesn't have many analysis tools.

There’s also TradingView with Paper Trading, Pilot Trading, or EStock from Duy Tan University. But I find these a bit complicated for beginners, or the interface isn’t very user-friendly.

Actually, when choosing a stock trading demo platform, you should consider: whether the platform is reputable, if the interface is easy to use, whether it has the necessary analysis tools, and how good customer support is. The most important thing is that it should resemble a real trading environment so you can practice effectively.

One thing to remember is that results on stock trading demos do not completely mirror real trading. When you’re not risking real money, your psychology will be different, and you might accept higher risks. But it’s still a good way to start, understand how trading works, and develop discipline before moving on to real money.
