I just learned about trading crude oil with CFDs, pretty interesting. The prices of Brent and WTI crude oil are always volatile, creating good short-term trading opportunities. The good thing is you don't need to own physical oil; just predicting whether the price will go up or down is enough to make money.

Choosing a trading platform for crude oil is the most important thing. I usually consider three criteria: financial license (ASIC, FCA, CySEC), low commission fees, and an easy-to-use platform. Plus500, eToro, XM, IcMarket are all trusted choices among many traders. Each crude oil trading platform has its own advantages—some don’t charge commissions, some support high leverage.

Crude oil prices are influenced by many factors: geopolitical news, US reserves, OPEC production cuts. In 2020, prices even went negative due to Covid, while in 2021-2022, they surged strongly. So, before trading, you need to thoroughly research the market.

If you're just starting out, open a demo account first. Learn risk management and set reasonable stop-loss levels. Avoid trading with large capital right away. I’ve seen many people lose money because they are too greedy or don’t have a clear trading plan.

Is anyone trading crude oil? Can you share your experience with me?
