Recently, I was looking for where to start investing with little money, and I was surprised to discover that nowadays you don't need to be a millionaire to get into trading. I found several options and wanted to share what I learned because honestly, it changed my perspective.
MyTrade was the one that caught my attention the most at first. The interface is clean, without unnecessary clutter, and you can open a position in seconds. The best part is that you start with only $20 and they give you $50,000 in virtual money to practice risk-free. It integrates TradingView charts directly, so you have professional technical analysis without complications. It’s probably the best trading app if you're just starting out.
But if you already have some experience and want more options, AvaTrade offers platforms like MetaTrader 4 and 5, which many traders prefer. They've been innovating since 2006, and they have tools to automate investments. The minimum deposit is $100, so a bit more than MyTrade, but you access more professional conditions.
Plus500 is another one worth considering if you're looking for variety. They have over 2,800 different CFDs and recently entered the futures market. They are listed in London and have a good reputation among active traders. The minimum is also $100.
XM is interesting if you love high leverage. You can go up to 1000x, which is quite extreme. They offer several account types depending on your level, and the minimum deposit is just $5. But obviously, higher leverage also means higher risk.
And then there's eToro, which stands out for copy trading. The idea is that you automatically copy the trades of experienced investors. You start with $50, and it’s perfect if you're a beginner and want to learn by watching what others do. It’s more of a social trading experience.
The truth is, the best trading app depends on who you are. If you're starting out and want something simple, MyTrade wins easily. If you already know what you're doing and want advanced tools, AvaTrade or XM are more your style. Plus500 if futures trading appeals to you. And eToro if you prefer to learn by copying others.
The important thing is that before investing real money, practice with the demo accounts that all of them offer. Trading always involves risk, so there's no need to rush. But at least now we know that investing is accessible to everyone, regardless of how much capital you have to start.
