Mars Finance News, May 17 — According to the Zhejiang Daily, the Ningbo Customs Anti-Smuggling Bureau in Zhejiang, China, recently cracked multiple cases of smuggling virtual currency mining machines, dismantling several criminal gangs and seizing over 400 units of mining machines including Ant L9 and Ice River KS3 models.
The report states that the involved gangs disassembled the mining machines and falsely reported them as “industrial circuit breakers” and other product names, smuggling them into the country through international express channels from ports such as Ningbo and Guangzhou, then reassembling and selling them domestically or transporting them to mining farms in Xinjiang, Hunan, and other regions for hosting mining operations.
Officials said that the gangs also used USDT for cross-border payment settlements to evade financial regulation.
