According to a report by The Washington Post, among nearly 300 senior appointed officials in the Trump administration, nearly 70 hold cryptocurrencies or invest in blockchain, and companies related to digital assets—accounting for more than one-fifth—bringing their total holdings to at least about $193 million in crypto assets. Trump himself has reported holding at least $51 million in digital assets; Vice President Vance and several cabinet members have also disclosed holdings of Bitcoin or related investments. Compared with the Biden administration, where none of the cabinet officials reported holding digital currency, the Trump administration has become the U.S. government with the broadest cryptocurrency asset holdings among all administrations to date.
