Farewell to restricted beta? Claude Mythos removes the preview label, suspected to be about to open to the public
According to Beating Monitoring, on May 17th, the Claude Mythos basic model appeared in the quota and system restrictions list of Google Cloud. Unlike before, this model option has officially removed the “Preview” label, and according to developer tracking, the model was not present in the list yesterday.
Previously, Claude Opus 4.7 also followed the same path of “racing” in the Google Cloud console before its official release. This highly coincident trajectory suggests that the originally limited internal testing Claude Mythos is very likely to be fully open to the public soon.
