I just found out that the Thai stock market does not open and close at fixed times. 😅 Previously, I thought it opened at exactly 10:00 AM, but it turns out there is a pre-open period to send orders beforehand, and the actual opening time is randomly between 9:55 and 10:00 AM. This makes the opening time each day different.
The afternoon session is similar; it opens at 2:30 PM, but there is a pre-open from 2:00 PM beforehand, and the market closing time is not exactly 4:30 PM. There is a pre-close period and a random close between 4:30 and 4:40 PM.
This is very important if you want to trade during the opening because prices are highly volatile, and not knowing the actual opening time could cause you to miss opportunities or get caught by unpredictable price jumps. 💡
