CryptoWorld News reports that French Culture Minister Catherine Pégard stated during the 79th Cannes Film Festival that the National Center for Cinema and Animation plans to revise funding rules for creative projects to protect creativity from the impact of artificial intelligence. Pégard emphasized that creative activity is a fundamental human trait; AI is a tool that can accelerate, simplify, and enrich the filmmaking process, but no algorithm can replace the perspective, intention, and emotion involved in creation. She explicitly stated that the National Center for Cinema and Animation will no longer fund works without authors in the future, but this does not mean that the use of AI is prohibited in funded works.
