I just noticed that in 2025, the stock market is full of opportunities, but there are also many challenges. So I’ve compiled 12 stocks worth tracking for both long-term and short-term trading.
In the Thai market, there are four stocks I find interesting: SPRC (Star Petroleum). This one benefits from improved refining margins. The current stock price is 5.10 baht, but it has the potential to reach 7.97 baht, which is about a 56% profit. Perfect for those looking for stocks to trade well.
Then there’s BTG (Betagro), a fully integrated agricultural and food business expanding its export markets aggressively. The current price is 17.20 baht, with a target of 24 baht (+40.9%). Also worth watching is IVL (Indorama), a global PET producer investing in plastic recycling. Its price is 23 baht, with a target of 27.50 baht. And CPF (Charoen Pokphand Foods), a major player in agriculture and food business, priced at 20.9 baht, with analysis pointing to 30 baht (+45.5%).
Moving on to the global market, which stocks are good for long-term trading? I think Microsoft (MSFT) must be on the list. Its Azure cloud business grew 31%, and AI-driven revenue surged 175%. The current price is $408, with a target of $542 (+33%). Not surprising.
CVX (Chevron) is good for those seeking dividends, with a yield of 4.46%. Its price is $155.34, with a target of $165. Amazon (AMZN) AWS remains a core business, priced at $228.72, with room to grow to $245. And Adobe (ADBE), a creative software company expanding in AI, priced at $460, with a target of $680 (+47%).
For short-term traders who like speculation, Qualcomm (QCOM), a leader in semiconductors for smartphones and automotive, grew 61% YoY. Its price is $172, with a target of $186.33 (+8.2%). Fortinet (FTNT), a high-growth cybersecurity firm, is priced at $111, with a target of $119.11 (+6.5%).
Applied Materials (AMAT), a semiconductor equipment maker, benefits from AI and high-performance computing. Its price is $169, with a target of $200 (+18%). Tesla (TSLA), a leader in electric vehicles, is priced at $355, with a target of $500 (+40%). Its expanding production capacity continues to support its growth.
But before investing seriously, I think it’s important to understand three key fundamentals. First, plan clearly whether you want to invest short-term or long-term, and accept how much risk you can handle. Second, analyze the fundamentals—study financial statements, ratios, and company growth. Third, diversify your investments—don’t put all your money into one stock.
Technical analysis is also important. Look at price trends, identify support and resistance levels, use moving averages or other indicators to decide when to buy or sell. Continuously monitor news and market conditions because which stocks are good for trading depends on the market context too.
Remember, investing involves risks. Maintain discipline, set clear stop-loss and take-profit points. Don’t make decisions based on emotions or greed from seeing others profit. I hope this information helps you choose stocks to trade more wisely.
