It rained all day yesterday, and it's still cloudy this morning. The sun just came out but was covered again by dark clouds. I looked at the yard and saw that there was still rainwater from yesterday that hadn't evaporated, collected on the ground. I checked the weather forecast and it said there would be rain today, with a ninety-nine percent chance. Yesterday, the rain started in the afternoon, and I don't know when it will start today. I can hear the chatter of people on the street outside.
With this weather, I can't do any outdoor work because the ground is still wet from the rain. If I step on it now, it will harden once it dries, which would affect the growth of the corn. I think I should rest well. When it gets close to 10:30, I'll start preparing lunch.
