Recently, I was thinking that investing has always been something for people with a lot of money, you know? But it turns out that nowadays, you can start with almost nothing. I found several apps that let you trade with small amounts, even from $20 or less. Honestly, it’s a game changer.
I’ve tried out several options and I’ll tell you what I found interesting. MyTrade is one of the simplest I’ve seen, perfect if you’re just starting out. The interface is clean, without much clutter, and the best part is that you can access stocks, cryptocurrencies, gold, oil from a single app. The initial deposit is super accessible, starting at $20 USD. They have integrated TradingView charts and a demo account with $50,000 virtual dollars to practice risk-free. It’s like an app to invest from 1 euro or a little more if you want to try before putting real money in.
If you already have experience, AvaTrade offers more power. It supports MetaTrader 4 and 5, has over 1200 assets, and allows higher leverage. The minimum deposit is $100. XM is similar, also very geared toward traders who are familiar with MetaTrader, with tight spreads and up to 1000x leverage, though that comes with risk. You can start with $5, which is quite accessible.
Plus500 is another option if you’re looking for variety. They have over 2800 CFDs on stocks, indices, cryptos, and recently entered the futures market. Minimum deposit of $100. And well, eToro is different because you can automatically copy other traders’ trades, which I found interesting if you’re a beginner and want to learn without risking too much.
What I notice is that all these platforms have low or zero commissions on trades, but they charge spreads. The real difference is whether you prefer something simple to start with, like an app to invest from 1 euro without complications, or if you need more advanced tools like MetaTrader. Mitrade wins in simplicity and minimum deposit. AvaTrade and XM for those who want more control and leverage. Plus500 if you’re interested in futures. eToro if you want to learn by copying.
Before choosing, I’d say think about your profile. Are you new? Mitrade or eToro. Do you have experience? AvaTrade or XM. Are you looking for diverse assets? Plus500. The important thing is to practice first with the demo accounts all of them offer, because even with little money, trading involves risks. Getting well-informed and starting small is the key.
