The thing is, most commodity trading platforms operate on spreads rather than commissions now, which is way better for frequent traders. Gold's been interesting to watch - saw some wild moves recently. Personally I've been testing a few of these commodity platforms to see which interface I vibe with most. Plus500 is dead simple if you just want to trade oil or gold without overthinking it, but Interactive Brokers if you're serious about futures.
