I was recently looking for trading apps with a small budget, and I was surprised at how accessible everything has become. It turns out you no longer need thousands to start trading; there are plenty of options that let you begin with $20 or $50.

MyTrade was the first one I tried because I saw you could deposit from $20 USD. The interface is clean, nothing complicated, and I liked that. It has integrated TradingView charts, tight spreads, and allows you to trade stocks, forex, gold, Bitcoin—all from one account. Plus, they give you $50,000 in virtual money to practice for 90 days risk-free. Perfect if you're just starting out.

Then I checked out AvaTrade because I wanted to try MetaTrader 4 and 5. Founded in 2006, this platform has interesting features like ZuluTrade and DupliTrade for automating investments. The minimum deposit is $100 USD, so a bit higher, but it offers over 1,200 assets and allows you to choose between retail or professional accounts if you want more leverage.

Plus500 I knew by name because it’s listed on the London Stock Exchange. It has over 2,800 CFDs, so the variety is huge. They recently entered the U.S. market with futures and prediction markets. It also requires a $100 minimum, but if you're looking for a platform with many asset options, it’s worth exploring.

XM caught my attention because it offers quite high leverage, up to 1:1000. You can deposit from just $5 USD, making it very accessible. It has over 1,400 instruments and works well with MetaTrader. However, the high leverage means high risk, so you need to be careful.

eToro is different because it has copy trading. That is, you can automatically copy the trades of experienced traders. It started in 2007 and specialized in this. The minimum deposit is $50 USD, and you have access to over 3,000 real assets, not just CFDs. It’s more for those who want to learn by watching what others do.

Honestly, choosing between these trading apps depends on your profile. If you're a beginner and want something simple and cheap, MyTrade wins. If you already have experience and want MetaTrader, AvaTrade or XM are better. Plus500 if you're interested in extreme variety. And eToro if you prefer to let others do the work for you.

The important thing is to practice with demo accounts, which all of them offer, before investing real money. And remember, trading involves risks, so start with what you can afford to lose. Be cautious, well-informed, and practice a lot before going all in.
